Retexturing

Although OSPREY3000 was designed principally for the removal of rubber deposits from runways, it has also proved to be very effective in retexturing certain road surfaces. In particular, Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) is binder rich with a tendency to have a low early life skid resistance. OPREY3000 is able to remove effectively the excess binder from the surface, exposing the aggregate without damaging the integrity of the material. Treatment with OSPREY3000 will improve the skid resistance of newly laid SMA to bring it comfortably within acceptable levels of SCRIM and texture depth.
